When it’s time to show appreciation for the veteran in your life, food is one of the best ways to do this. That is the way to everyone’s heart, right? Sending a care package is a wonderful way to show your favorite veteran that you care. Alternatively, you could offer them a meal at a restaurant or invite them to dinner at your home and give them a toast in their honor. Spend some time asking them about their tenure there if it’s not too sensitive a subject. This is a great way to honor a veteran you know.

Various charities like the Wounded Warrior Project seek to help ease the suffering of veterans through various mental health and advocacy programs and initiatives.
